Spirit Strong in Mackay 2008 Open.

The 2008 Mackay Open, held recently at the Andergrove Tavern attracted players from Victoria, Gold Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns and the Northern Hinterlands, as well as our own Mackay talent.
Games started on Saturday and qualifying for the final 16 finished mid-day Sunday.
Competition was fierce and skills on display warranted the talent as all players backed themselves to take home part of the $3200 on offer.
The final 8 playoff did not go the way many thought, with some big calcutta buys not going all the way.
Mackay players put the rest of the state on notice with strong performances in all 3 fields, Open – Ladies & Juniors.
